First of all, the carpet is eliminated of its dust and small particles with a certain mechanical technique.
Then, the backside of the carpet is carefully burned. This is important for the hygiene. In addition, the burning process prevents the carpet from sliding too much on the floor.
Next, the carpet is soaped and washed a couple of times. After the washing, the carpet is dried (generally under sunlight) and stretched for its final form.
After these processes, the knots can be shaved to make the carpet level. Finally, the carpet is ready to use. Optionally, weaver of the carpet can do elegant knitting on the fringes at both ends of the carpet.
